Starting from the impressive cathedral of Tui, you will follow the Camino on narrow tracks towards O Porriño. The historic route leads through forests and hilly, green landscapes to Pontevedra. Spend an evening exploring its charming old town and have a glass of red wine!
Passing Caldas de Reis, you can recover in one of its famous thermal springs before walking to Padrón. This is the city where the body of St. James is said to have arrived in a stone. Don`t forget to try the famous Spanish peppers, Pimientos de Padrón! The Camino will then lead you through many vineyards, mostly producing Albariño, one of the most famous white wines of Spain.
Once in Santiago, you will have time to explore its stunning old town, pick up your Compostela, and reflect on those beautiful past days on the Camino Portugues.
