You begin your journey in Saint Jean Pied de Port, on the French side of the Pyrenees. The Camino then takes you up the magnificent mountain range, from where you will have breathtaking views into the valleys below. Passing the famous monastery in Roncesvalles, you make your way to Burguete and spend the night in the same guesthouse where Ernest Hemingway once stayed to write on his novel “Fiesta”. This stage of the Camino ends in Pamplona, capital of Navarra and famous for the Fiesta San Fermin, the day of bull runs through the city.

Day 1: Arrival in Bilbao - Saint Jean Pied de Port - Huntto
Arrive from your home country to Bilbao get to Saint Pied de Port (~200 km). Lace up your boots for a first hike to Huntto (5.2 km up the Pyrenees). Accommodation in historic Casa Rural in the mountains.
Day 2: Huntto - Burguete
Hiking over the Pyrenees to Burguete (via Route Napoleon), accommodation in a hotel where Hemingway once wrote parts of his novel Fiesta.

Day 3: Burguete - Zubiri
The Camino takes you over the Erro-Pass into beautiful Navarra. Pass the famous Puente de la Rabia, which translates as Rabies-Bridge, and enter Zubiri.

Day 4: Zubiri - Pamplona
Hike to Pamplona, the modern capital of Navarra. You will leave the last foothills of the Pyrenees behind you. Pamplona has a long history as the centre of the Kingdom of Navarra and today remains famous for the Running of the Bulls on the day of San Fermín.

Day 5: Pamplona - Home
