The first part of this stage is set in the lush countryside of Northern Spain. You will walk in the relative solitude of the Camino del Norte before it unites with the Camino Francés for the last days.
Now you will join the bustle of pilgrims on the Camino Francés as it leads through forests of eucalyptus and finally up the Monte do Gozo (Hill of Joy). It carries its name, as pilgrims get a first sight of the Cathedral of Santiago from here. Once in Santiago de Compostela, you will have time to explore the beautiful old town, pick up your Compostela (pilgrim’s certificate) and visit the pilgrim’s mess for a memorable end of this journey.
